HomeMaxx Pro vs Workiz.

Workiz runs the job once you have the customer. HomeMaxx Pro runs the job too, and brings you the Homeowner first. Here is the whole table, row by row, and what each one costs a 5-person shop.

HomeMaxx Pro4.1 of 52.3 points per $100 a month · Foreman, 5 users included
Workiz2.2 of 51.0 points per $100 a month · Professional, 5 users

The score counts every row on the comparison table once: included is one point, partial is half. Value divides the score by what a 5-person shop pays a month on the plan that covers the most of the table.

Who Workiz is for.

Workiz is field service software for locksmiths, appliance repair, garage doors, junk removal, HVAC and similar dispatch-heavy trades, with a built-in phone system, scheduling, estimates and invoicing, and a free plan for the smallest shops.

The phone system with call tracking and recording is built in rather than bolted on, the free tier is real, and it plugs into the lead marketplaces so a new shop can start with paid leads.

What buyers watch for.

The marketplace leads are paid and shared, the per-user prices on the paid plans are among the higher ones, and the estimating and customer portal are thinner than the others on the table.

HomeMaxx Pro is priced per shop, not per technician, every plan includes texting from your own number and the customer portal, and the Homeowner requests outside a franchise territory are free. The rows below are where the two part ways.
